The setup of I Picked Up a Hitchhiker
A gorgeous hitchhiker is stranded on an empty desert highway. The only car that stops belongs to the most ordinary guy in the world, driving a battered pickup.
The rest is a road movie in miniature: long empty miles, a passenger with her own agenda, and a driver who cannot believe his luck.
The characters
The driver and the hitchhiker, two adults and a lot of desert. Every character in I Picked Up a Hitchhiker is made by AI and depicted as an adult; no real performer is involved.
Tone and heat of I Picked Up a Hitchhiker
Light, fantasy-of-luck road trip. Low stakes, easy charm, moderate heat.
We give it 2/5 for heat. The score rates how much tension and steam the setup delivers, not production values, and we use the same scale on every series.
